OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jake Chisholm, Dayton
(Sr. RB, Union, Kentucky)
Chisholm notched his first 100-yard rushing outing of 2022, and the 11th of his career, as Dayton won its PFL opener against Drake, 27-14, Saturday. He finished the day with 24 carries for 131 yards and tacked on 38 yards with five receptions Chisholm opened the day’s scoring with a nine-yard touchdown run and later added a 17-yard touchdown, extending the Flyers lead to 24-7. He had 10 plays that resulted in a first down or touchdown in the victory and five rushes of 10-plus yards.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
John Tessman, Davidson
(So. LB, Lookout Mountain, Tennessee)
Tessman picked off two passes as Davidson’s defense posted its first shutout since 2019 in a 31-0 PFL victory against Butler, Saturday. His first interception came early in the third quarter at the Davidson 24-yard line as Butler attempted a deep pass following a Davidson scoring drive. Tessman’s second pick was early in the fourth quarter and stopped a Butler drive at midfield. It is the third two-interception day by a PFL defender this season, but the first by a linebacker.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sam Webster, Dayton
(Sr., K, Richfield, Ohio)
Webster was responsible for nine points in Dayton’s 27-14 PFL victory against Drake, Saturday. He improved to 7-of-7 on field-goal attempts in 2022, hitting from 38 and 21 yards, Saturday. Webster also added a trio of PATs in the win.
